Virtensys VIO-4000 series is a top-of-the rack I/O solution that eliminates the need for a layer of server adapter ports and LAN/SAN access switch from a rack of servers. A single PCI Express cable between the VIO-4000 switch and the server delivers Ethernet / Fibre Channel / SAS / SATA connectivity to servers as needed. The solution is wired once, and all I/O resource moves/adds/changes can be made from an embedded remote management web console, without any physical touch. The Virtensys VIO-4000 series can be deployed in all popular high availability deployment models — including active/active, N+1 redundancy.
