Its IOV products now support Fibre Channel and Ethernet, providing access to both Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN). With this achievement, VirtenSys establishes its core technology and can now provide products that support multiple data center configurations and usage models. The VirtenSys IOV Switches virtualize the QLogic® Fibre Channel Host Bus Adaptors (HBAs) among multiple physical servers, without requiring any changes be made to the servers, operating systems, HBAs or device drivers. QLogic Corp. (Nasdaq:QLGC) is the largest supplier of Fibre Channel HBAs for servers and storage systems worldwide and its products are installed in enterprise data centers in multiple vertical segments.
